Airfare & Travel
ASA Adventure Travel trip prices generally do not include airfare. However, we can usually find cheap airfare through our partners and we pass these savings along to our customers. If we are given enough lead time, we can also book airfare with layovers or side trips, upon request. Of course, you can also make your own travel arrangements. Travelers should be aware that the dates of scheduled trips sometimes change by a day due to particular travel constraints (i.e., some flights are not available every day). We try our best to avoid overnight layovers so you can spend your time at the destination and less time on travel.
We usually book flights from the U.S. to Nepal through Pacific/Asian routes. Layovers are usually several hours in Hong Kong and/or Bangkok. Total flight times vary depending on where you start, but plan on about 34 hours to reach Kathmandu from the United States. Slightly shorter routes through Europe and India are available but are generally much more expensive.
Our African adventure trips are generally booked from the US through Europe. Typical stops are in Rome, London or Amsterdam.
